A Trip to the Zoo

We took the girls to the zoo over Spring Break, and they had a blast of course.  We got there early at 9:45, and there was already a line to get in, but because the zoo is so huge, it was not crowded.  The girls especially loved the ducks this year…I think mainly because there was a little walkway that you could get to behind it and walk around the little duck pond.  The penguins were a hit like last year, and the reptile area was pretty cool.  Bart thinks the coolest part was seeing this gigantic bullfrog.  It was HUGE!   Gwen was quite interested in seeing the sheep, and she was especially grossed out when she discovered all the poop pellets amongst them.  In one of the pictures below, you can see here getting grossed out.  It was pretty funny.  We took our wagon with us, and the girls probably spent more time out of the wagon this year.  The zoo is pretty pricey overall, and if it weren’t so hot where we lived, we would probably buy a family pass, but a once a year trip will do us for now.  And now that the girls are potty trained, I think we visited almost every bathroom at the zoo…ha!  Oh, and we got a really cool picture with a snake, but I won’t post it because Grandma would freak out if she saw it.
