Wow, my babies turned two! This past year has been filled with many new developmental changes and personalities shining through. Izzy has remained the dominant twin, but has finally added "please" to her vocabulary. Thank goodness for that! That girl is stubborn like her mama and it took an act of Congress to get her to finally say that simple word. Gwen is still the diva, but her vocabulary has expanded tenfold, and she can now say "I luv yew" like the best of them. It really does melt your heart to hear those words come out of your own child's mouth. It almost erases the memories of those early terrible two tantrums...almost. Izzy likes her fruits and BBQ chips, and well Gwen, let's just say that there is not a carb or sweet this girl doesn't like. I know that we'll be counting her WW points in the near future. ;) Gwen has taken a big liking to having her own wubby...and lately it's all about the Star Wars blankie! She is definitely good at self soothing. If she gets the least bit upset, she HAS to have her "mi mi" (pacifier) and blanket. Izzy still has her own language, but she now has added many more funny things to say such as "choo choo all aboard", "I gotchu", and "Beas". Both girls can now really understand what we say to them, but they still have selective listening. Gwen still goes by "Beans" and even our families have started calling her that. We think Izzy might only know Gwen by "Beas". All in all, both girls are truly a blessing in our lives...they keep us laughing and tired, but we love them!
I think their birthday this year was a success! The Tumble On The Go Bus was the best party investment ever! The kids had a great time going crazy on that bus! The girls got some awesome gifts, and best of all, we got to spend their birthday with our friends and families that enrich our lives in so many ways.
Here are some pics from their birthday. Enjoy!
